Solution:

 A solution is a mixture in which solute(solid) dissolved in a solvent( liquid)Solute is a substance that dissolve in another substance like sugar, sand, salt etc .Solute dissolves in a solvent until its concentration is equal to the all part of the solution.Solvent is always in aqueous form that dissolve solute completely. Water is universal solvent.

 Properties of Solution:

 1.A solution is a substance in which solute completely dissolved in a solvent.
2.The particles in the solution cannot be seen with naked eyes.
3.There is no residue when the solution is evaporated.
4.A solution does not allow beams of light to scatter.
5.The solution cannot be filtrated.
6.The solution will be colourless.

Different types of Solution on the basis of solvent;

1.Aqueous solution.
The solution in which solute dissolve in a water(solvent)is called Aqueous solution. Water is the only solvent that is completely dissolves solute. When salt is dissolved in a water it makes a fine solution. A gas(CO2) is dissolve in water and make a carbonic solution is another example of aqueous solution.

2.Non-aqueous solution
The solution in which solute dissolve in an other solvent like benzene,ether petrol etc except water is called non-aqueous solution. An example of this is a brass solution which is formed by dissolving copper in zinc.

Different types of Solution on the basis of solute;

1.Saturated solution
A solution in which large amount of solute is called saturated solution. A soda like carbon dioxide dissolves in a water. Coco powder is mix in a milk is a examples of saturated solution.

2.Unsaturated solution
A solution in which small amount of solute is called unsaturated solution.for example mixing a spoon of sugar in a cup of hot coffee generates an unsaturated sugar solution. Vinegar is an acetic acid in water. Mist is an unsaturated solution of water vapor in air.

3.Supersaturated Solution
The solution that is more concentrated than a saturated solution is called  supersaturated solution. A perfect supersaturated solution  is a sweet tea (popular in Texas) which has sugar added while the tea is still hot, when it cools down, it holds more sugar than it would have, had the sugar been added if the tea had been cold.
