Fundamentals of chemistry
Introduction
We are live in the world of chemicals. Nature of the chemicals, there physical and chemical properties always try to attract us towards them. Chemical elements can be combine by reactions. Reaction are also have many types like oxidation and reduction. Chemistry help us for many ways in the field of medicines, detergents,soaps,cosmetics,paints,insecticides pesticides and many more places. In this chapter we will discuss about the fundamentals of chemistry like Analytical chemistry ,organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry ,environmental chemistry, chemical kinetics stoichiometry, physical chemistry,biochemistry,industrial chemistry, nuclear chemistry ,polymer chemistry.
Branches of chemistry
Analytical chemistry
In this field we will discuss about the separation techniques of elements,compunds and solutions, and analysis of the components. Different instruments used for the separations. Quantitatives and qualitative analysis identify the substances. The scope of this branch covers water and soil analysis.
Organic chemistry
Organic chemistry is basically concerned the elements of carbon and hydrogen, it also discuss the properties, composition, reaction and synthesis of these elements. The scope of this branch in various industries. Fine chemicals used as fuels, pesticides and herbicides, diagnostics and medical devices, vitamins, perfumes, cosmetics, fabrics and all sorts of high-technology materials used in televisions, computers and other information technologies, and transportation and space machines are also the products of organic synthesis.
Inorganic chemistry;
Inorganic chemistry is the study of metals, minerals and salts their chemical bonding, reactions and properties. It has applications in every aspects of chemical industry like glass, cement and ceramics.
Environmental chemistry;
Environmental chemistry is the study of uncontaminated environment work, also the study of concentration of chemicals and effect on the nature. With the help of this branch we can clean our environment chemically.
Biochemistry;
It is the study of chemical process, properties ,composition, structure and reactions in all living organisms.it defines how molecules can react with the energy molecules like ATP.
Stoichiometry;
In this field chemist has discuss the law of definite proportion and law of conversation of mass and energy. It also discuss the quantitative relationship between constituents in a chemical substance.
Physical chemistry;
It is the study of physical change in matter like solid, liquid and gas. Also discuss how matter behaves on a molecule and atomic level. Nuclear chemistry
In this branch chemist discuss the radioactivity, nuclear and fission reactions. It has a vast applications in the medical treatment , preservation of food and generation of electrical power by nuclear reactors.
Industrial chemistry;
It is the study of preparation of chemical compunds Chemists discuss the reagents and raw materials used in high technological industries, pharmaceuticals or electronics, for example, as well as in the preparation of inorganic specialties such as catalysts, pigments, and propellants.
